MISSION STATEMENT
In principle we, the CITIZENS of the Yuba County Militia, stand to promote, uphold and defend the rights given to us by our creator. Some of these rights have been stated in the California State Constitution and the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution.
Our inalienable rights include:
All citizens are born equally free and independent, and have certain natural, inherent and unalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and of pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness.
Every citizen has a right to keep and bear arms and this right shall never be questioned.
All power is inherent in the citizens; all free governments are founded in their authority and instituted for their benefit; they have therefore an unalienable and indefeasible right to institute government, and to alter, reform, or totally change the same, when their safety and happiness require it.
All citizens have a natural and unalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
Every citizen may freely speak, write and publish sentiments on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of this liberty; no laws shall be passed regulating or restraining the freedom of the press.
We, the Yuba County Militia stand ready to defend these rights to the death! And we take our oath: "to the best of our Ability, to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California."
